10 ways to improve your sleep

1. Give up caffeine! If you are having trouble sleeping, stop drinking tea and coffee

2. Have an early dinner. Allow at least four hours before going to bed.

3. Set a regular bed time and getting up time. This helps your body and brain to know that it is time to sleep.

4. Avoid playing games or watching TV 30 - 60 mins before bedtime.

5. Download a 'sleep' app to listen to when you go to bed

6. Do a muscle relaxation exercise once in bed with eyes closed

7. Sometimes a warm shower before bed assists in the winding down after a stressful day

8. Exercise regularly - at least 30 mins of walking every day

9. Eat healthy food. Yes, its not rocket science: Exercise + healthy food = sleep

10. Keep the temperature at about 18 degrees for a good sleep
